Leaving the Church - one tradition has the Brides father cutting a ribbon which has been afixed across the Church gate, as a sign of setting her free. Another an old tradition is the 'Scammy' which loosely translated means the scamble as the Groom throws a handful of coins to the eagerly awaiting children.
